About Vicky Alchin

I am a freelance artist, based in Perth WA.

My love for art became apparent at a very young age. As a child I was very rarely seen without a pencil and sketch book in my hand.

I studied Art & Design at Gray's school of art in Aberdeen, Scotland receiving a BA (Hons) degree before immigrating to Australia in 1999 with my husband, and children.

Once my youngest child became less dependent I decided it was time to reignite my passion for art and joined the Armadale Society of Artist.

I now teach weekly watercolour classes at Art House on Hobbs in Armadale WA as well as teaching private students and pet portrait commissions.

I devote as much time as possible to my artwork, I especially love painting with watercolour and acrylics. I like working with texture and colour and have an affinity with nature and wildlife.

I am fortunate enough to live in Beautiful Bedfordale where I am surrounded by nature, wildlife and inspiration.
